Pearlie Harris Mural Makes Top 12 List on Fodor’s Travel

Pearlie Harris is known to many in Greenville as an educational pioneer who helped to integrate the local school system. The massive eight-story mural in the heart of the city shows Pearlie surrounded by students — the artwork was illustrated in 2020 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Greenville schools’ desegregation and to honor the value that teachers bring to our community.
