Nursing Assistant Training

Train to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) able to provide basic nursing skills in hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers and home health care.

Training time required: 3 months

Certified Nursing Assistant

To provide basic level of both knowledge and demonstrable skills for individuals who provide nursing or nursing related services to residents in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or nursing facility (NF).

Training time required: 2 months

Certified Nursing Aide Certificate

This course is approved by the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) and qualifies you to take the SC Nurse Aide Competency Exam, which is required to work in a variety of healthcare facilities and organizations. 

Training time required: 6-8 weeks

Patient Care Technician Certificate

In addition to basic patient care skills, the pct curriculum includes: medical surgical asepsis, basic anatomy and physiology, cardiac monitoring, electrocardiography, phlebotomy, clerical skills related to patient care, and professional and interpersonal concepts.

Training time required: 4 months
