Basic Machine Operations Certificate in Applied Science

This certificate program trains students in basic machine tool operations and the use of precision measuring instruments for entry-level production machine operator positions.

Training time required: 8 months

Machine Tool Operator Certificate

The Machine Tool Operator certificate is designed for those students who would like to learn basic machining skills without being enrolled in a full-time degree program.

Training time required: 8 months

Manual Machining Certificate

The Manual Machining Certificate allows students to further their knowledge in operating manual machines. Students will be introduced to tighter tolerance parts, different techniques of operations and interpreting and sketching of blueprints using machine mathematics in order to produce high quality parts.

Training time required: 3 months

Introduction to Machining Certificate

The Introduction to Machining Certificate prepares students to operate drill presses safely, metal-cutting saws, lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce precision parts; to utilize appropriate speeds, feeds, and tooling; and to use precision measuring instruments.

Training time required: 14 weeks
