Greer’s food scene is largely concentrated in its downtown area and centered around its family-friendly community. Residents and visitors enjoy local coffee shops like Barista Alley and Stomping Grounds Coffee House, seafood spots like The Great Bay Oyster House and, a world class steakhouse in Rick Erwin’s, and fine dining including L’Incanto.

A testament to its vibrant culture, the city hosts the Greer Goes Global International Festival, an annual event featuring food from more than 40 countries, as well as cultural events, music and more. Greenville County is the largest public-school system in South Carolina and is comprised of 76,000 students. North Greenville University launched a new satellite campus in downtown Greer in 2018.
